Early pre season results have been encouraging and the trip to Belgium once again proved to be beneficial for the new players to really understand what makes Guildford tick! The trip to Belgium doesn't just happen without a huge amount of work so special thanks to Simon Mason for organising it and Tony Hall for sorting out the finances. The reality is simple though, without the continued support of our many sponsors, some of whom have been with us for many years it would be impossible for us to function as professionally as we do, it is after all an amateur sport. The monies we receive from our sponsors take a huge financial burden off the players as it's possible to off set the cost of things like kit, petrol, balls, transport and accommodation and for that I and the players say an enormous thank you. We hope the whole club but particularly the 1st XI are able to repay your generosity in some way. Last but by no means least I would like to thank Pam Hall, our secretary, for all her years of dedication in chasing up sponsors with endless phone calls and e-mails. There is no doubt that without her I'm sure we wouldn't have had the support year on year that we do. In fact such is the work load that more recently Catharine Simonds (Kitkat) has come on board to help Pam and to her we also give a big thank you. Meanwhile back to this season.......a prediction from the coach for first two games of the season? 5-2 victory at home to Havant and a 4-1 win away to Whitchurch! Spooky eh???? We look forward to seeing and hearing as many of you as possible at our matches as it really does make a difference to the guys playing and joining us for a drink and chat in the bar afterwards. Ian Jennings MBE 1st XI coach |

We are totally unique as a late night hang out and offer three floors of fun. Our ground floor bar designed for lounging around where you can actually hear yourself drink… er think! The first floor where our DJ is based – it gets a little busy but there is room to escape to our cocktail bar on the top floor. Up here you can sip and enjoy cocktails or share a bottle of vodka from our menu. We don’t sell alcopops or play chart music – OK the odd guilty pleasure may slip into the play list, but we are truly passionate about our music and drinks.
